At the SLANZA AGM, Otago member Carole Gardiner was awarded a SLANZA Certificate of Recognition. This was given for her significant contribution to and development of the SLANZA Collaborative Wiki
Congratulations Carole! The Certificate will be formally presented at the Next Otago meeting. I had the extreme good fortune to attend the Ross Todd Evidence Based Practice Session this past weekend. At the moment it's hard to articulate all the things I've learned and taken on board. So Many things to think about, but I do feel empowered to start thinking how I can collect evidence and present it to support my library. The National Executive will be providing access to Ross's notes, and are also committed to creating a Powerpoint presentation to help Reps to pass on this PD to members.
The other positive news for our region is that local committee member Bridget Schaumann has been appointed as President Elect. This happened at the SLANZA AGM held on the 21st of July after the Wellington Ross Todd Session. Events and news from the Otago Region can be found at the Otago SLANZA wiki
