The Open Polytechnic is pleased to announce that it supports the professional education of school librarians by offering the following discounts on study: 

Category A students:  
This offer is open to eligible applicants who are fully registered, current SLANZA members.

The following two courses will be fees free for all SLANZA members:   

  • LIS606 Reader Development
  • LIS607 Services and Collections for Children and Teens 
from the New Zealand Certificate in Library and Information Services for Children and Teens (Level 6) and the Bachelor of Library and Information Studies.  

Category B students:
This offer is only available upon SLANZA approval to eligible applicants who are fully registered, current SLANZA members.  

SLANZA members who are New Zealand residents will receive a Ten percent (10%) reduction on the course fees charged by the Open Polytechnic for the following qualifications:
  • New Zealand Diploma in Library and Information Studies (Level 5)
  • New Zealand Certificate in Library and Information Services for Children and Teens (Level 6)
  • New Zealand Diploma in Records and Information Management (Level 6)
  • Graduate Certificate in Library and Information Leadership (Level 7)
  • Bachelor of Library and Information Studies
