Our Vision
SLANZA will empower and support school library staff, and strengthen and promote school libraries in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our Mission SLANZA provides community, guidance and professional development on library practice and programmes for school library staff in Aotearoa New Zealand, while honouring the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in our work. Through our National Executive portfolios and regional networks, we aim to:
Membership
SLANZA membership is made up of school and public library staff, National Library staff, teachers, principals, publishers, book-sellers, and library-related solution providers. Further information about our membership options can be found here. National Executive The SLANZA President, Immediate Past President or President Elect, and representatives from each of the regions, form the National Executive. Regional groups Local events are co-ordinated by groups in each of the regions. Policies SLANZA policies are the guiding documents for setting strategic directions and aid decision-making in our membership led organisation. |
