We have set the date of this year’s AGM for Thursday July 19th, from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm. We will be holding the AGM at the Palmerston North City Library, Sound & Vision zone on the ground floor (entry via George Street). The AGM will begin at 5:30, with the feature-length documentary film Library of the Early Mind to follow, starting at 6pm. Library of the Early Mind is an exploration of the art and impact of children’s literature on our kids, our culture, and ourselves. This feature-length documentary film features nearly 40 prominent authors and illustrators talking about their work, its genesis and its impact. It would be great to see as many of our members at this year’s AGM as possible. We welcome anyone who’d like to join our committee, we need more people with ideas and enthusiasm to join our small but friendly team! Please feel free to invite others in your school who may be interested in attending the screening of Library of the Early Mind – or anyone you know with an interest in children’s literature! Just forward this message, or the link below which includes the RSVP form, and full details of the event including the trailer for the film. Entry is by gold coin donation, and there will be refreshments provided and spot prizes to be won.
