List of publishers permissions for book cover images

The publishing houses listed below have granted permission for SLANZA members to use book cover images to promote reading in school libraries. Use of book cover images is purely as promotion on member’s school library websites, blogs and on social media. Members will not modify the work in any way, will only use it in a non-commercial capacity, and digital attribution will always be given by way of a link to the publishing house’s website.

This is an exclusive offer for SLANZA members only.

As school librarians, it is important to model ethical digital behaviour. To uphold the agreement between SLANZA and the publishing house, please ensure you access the publisher’s website, linked below, as this will refer you to the Australasian website which will list the correct cover image for our local market, from here you may copy the image and required attribution.

Remember, if your publisher is not listed, you may contact the publishing house directly to ask permission or, alternatively, take your own photos.

The only publisher contacted who would not give permission was Macmillan; members will need to request permission each time you want to use one of their cover images.
