I’m Kirsty, the Library Manager at James Hargest College in Invercargill. I’ve been at James Hargest for almost 12 years after coming from the Invercargill Public Library. I am teacher-trained and have degrees in Education and Psychology which come in extremely useful in a school library!
I’ve been on the SLANZA NE for a lot of the time I’ve been a School Librarian including being co-President from 2017 – 2019. Being a member of SLANZA and being on NE has been one of the most valuable experiences of my life. I have learnt so much, met so many amazing people and had such interesting opportunities presented to me. I highly recommend getting involved in any way you can.
