It's time for our annual SLANZA Reading Survey! The Reading survey is important as it gives us all an overview of what our students are reading and where their interests lie.
We'd love you to share (anonymously) your libraries' top books, authors, series, magazines, NZ authors and books, and the best books for your reluctant readers. All the information gathered will then collated and shared with you through your SLANZA membership and via the listserv at the beginning of the New Year - 2020. The link below will take you to the questionnaire. Instructions on getting the statistics out of our most popular Library Management Systems (Accessit, Oliver, Athenaeum) are attached to this email. Please take the time to complete the survey - it's easy! 2019 SLANZA READING SURVEY FYI - You can view previous survey results on the SLANZA website HERE How-to guides - Find your most popular resources on: Athenaeum Accessit Oliver V5 Thanks in anticipation!

Next Monday 11 November will be the first SLANZA CONNECTED discussion.
“What’s the Hook in the Book?” For our inaugural SLANZA Connected online discussion we would like members to share to our Facebook Connected community something that we do really well – book recommendations. We will look at the variety of ways we entice our students and teachers to try a book, books we recommend for different purposes and some of our favourite books of the year. Please join us on our SLANZA Connected Community page and share your knowledge and skills. https://www.facebook.com/groups/SLANZAConnectedCommunity/ Suggestions, readings and questions will be posted on Monday 11 November to get us started. Please get "Connected" and join in the discussion. from the SLANZA PD team |
