SLANZA are currently accepting articles and book reviews for our next Collected magazine edition with the theme:
 
School Libraries Transform
 
This can include articles on how a school library has been transformational for students, teachers, and the school community. You can discuss challenges you have faced or are facing, things that have been successful, ideas on how you see school libraries contributing in the future, and any other topic you feel fits this theme.
 
Each issue we like to ask a question and encourage as many people as possible to contribute. 
Question for issue #27: What do you consider to be the most important contribution a school library makes? 50 words maximum per question response submission. Images with subtitles also welcome.
 
Please consider contributing to our magazine; articles must be submitted to collected@slanza.org.nz by Friday 16th April 2021.
 
Types of submissions
 
Full length - 1000-2000 words - feature article, researched with an attached bibliography and high-quality images
 
Short length - 500-1000 words
 
Letter to the editor - 150 words in response to previous articles, or to invoke dialog with other members, or general musings about the library scene
 
Librarian in the spotlight - 150-300 words about yourself or a librarian including images of the person and their library
 
Book Review(s) - 150 honest words about books of your choice that you'd like to share with others
 
Library bytes - this is our NEW show-off section of Collected. You can submit anything from a picture with a caption, to a quote that you find relevant to your library, or a short snippet of information you would like to share
 
Response to the question of the issue - Each time Collected is published, we will ask a question that is put out to our members for a response
 
Other - we are open to new suggestions. Please email the editor at collected@slanza.org.nz to discuss your ideas.
