Getting Ready for SLANZA Hui 2025! Important details and information

Kia ora SLANZA Hui 2025 Attendees,

With the SLANZA Hui 2025 just around the corner, we're getting excited to welcome you to Waiopehu College in Levin! We look forward to seeing you this weekend as we share, support and succeed together and celebrate 25 years of SLANZA.
Here are a few last-minute suggestions and reminders to help you prepare.
Before you join us we’d love you to contribute to two of our sessions:

• Lightning Talks: Interested in sharing a highlight, a practical idea, or an effective library display with your colleagues? Join us for the Lightning Talks, a fast-paced session where you can share your best work in just one or two minutes per slide. Simply create a single slide using our provided template to present your idea to the group. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your mahi and inspire others.
• Troubleshooting Tables: Do you have a challenge you’d like support with? Bring it with you for some collegial insight and feedback.

Your pre-hui checklist:

• Check the program: Please review the final programme on The Hui Hub to plan your sessions and make the most of the two days.
• What to bring: Pack comfortable shoes for moving between sessions and layers of clothing to adjust to indoor temperatures. Exciting news! Wheelers will be providing a keep-cup and Hydestor have provided reusable water bottles. You'll find these along with pens, notepads as well as many other fun treats in your delegate goody bags.
• Travel and parking: Plan your travel to Waiopehu College and be aware of any designated parking areas. Enter the north gate of the school (the one closest to Levin East School), parking is visible on the right hand side. If this is full there is parking along the street (Bartholomew Rd). You will be directed to the cafe upon arrival.
• The Coffee Hearse - Coffee To Die For sponsored by Wheelers will be onsite for your caffeine fix. Hours: Sat : 8.45am - 11am, Sun : 6.45am - 11.30am
• ​Our new SLANZA waiata: Nau mai, haere mai ki te ao o te waiata. Here is the beautiful waiata, describing the whakapapa of the whare pukapuka, that has been gifted to us for all our SLANZA members to learn and share. • Connect with others: Come prepared to meet and network with fellow school library professionals and supporting sponsors.
