Advocacy is something that we all acknowledge is important and vital for our sector.
Over the last couple of months the Advocacy Ohu Mahi has been developing an advocacy strategy/plan alongside a (pro bono) strategic advisor. The first phase of the plan was attached to an email sent to members and can be found below. This is the first phase, and not the complete plan, as we want members to be agreed on the key messages and target audience before the complete strategy is finalised.
Key messages need to be consistent to have any effect. As one unified voice advocating for school libraries we all need to be repeating the same key messages with any interaction we have about the sector.
