The wait is over! The ASLW Ohu Mahi has been working hard behind the scenes and is delighted to launch this year's Activity Guide, posters, and supporting resources.
We are excited to celebrate library joy across the motu again in 2026. After the interesting year of curriculum refresh, it’s time to remind our kura about how vital School Libraries are and how they transform the lives of our ākonga. With the Aotearoa School Libraries Research foremost in our minds, how can what we see everyday in our kura translate to what the rest of the school staff see. We are excited to bring you another StoryWalk® from Scholastic NZ, this time with the generosity of Jo Van Dam, Richard Hoit and Ariana Stevens.
We encourage you to share photos of your activities and events online, using the #ASLW26 hashtag, so that as a community, we can all whakanui together. We know that School Libraries Transform our students in so many ways.
Let this week be the celebration of all the mahi your library does.
