Thanks to the generosity of Book Protection Products Ltd, SLANZA Otago is thrilled to be able to offer current Otago members the opportunity to apply for one of two grants which will cover the cost of their registration for the SLANZA 2015 conference in Christchurch this September.
The SLANZA Conference is the ultimate in professional development in the NZ school library world. As well as 3 days of amazing speakers and workshops, you will be inspired with new ideas and fresh approaches, all while enjoying the unique and incredibly valuable networking that comes from being surrounded by a fantastic group of like-minded colleagues. This quite simply is an opportunity that you can’t afford to miss out on. If you wish to apply for one of the two SLANZA Otago Conference Grants please apply in writing, outlining your interest and the benefits you can foresee from attending. Priority will be given to current SLANZA Otago members who have not previously received a Conference Grant, and then to those whose schools are unable to cover the cost of conference registration. The successful grant recipients will be expected to give a short presentation (either in person or via a report of some kind) on their personal conference highlights at a SLANZA Otago event in Term 4. The Conference Grants will cover the cost of conference registration only. It is hoped that the successful applicants will be supported by their schools to pay for their travel and accommodation costs. Please send applications to the SLANZA Otago Committee, c/- Carole Gardiner (Secretary) at caroleg@queens.school.nz by Wednesday 17th June 2015. Successful applicants will be announced on or before 26th June 2015. We look forward to receiving your applications soon and to seeing lots of you at Conference in Christchurch this September.
