It is with great sadness that SLANZA's National Executive inform our members that Bharathi Char, Library Manager at Baradene College, has passed away after a short illness.

Bharathi was a kind and generous friend and colleague, and everyone who served with her on the National Executive appreciated her presence on the committee. She happily shared her knowledge and long experience in libraries with everyone. Bharathi was an invaluable member of SLANZA’s professional development team, and played a huge part in developing our online courses.

The Auckland region will greatly miss Bharathi’s work and enthusiasm for her school and school libraries. She was a long time member of the Auckland committee and was involved in many of the professional development events Auckland held.

Our thoughts are with Bharathi’s family, and the many school staff, students and families whose lives Bharathi touched. She will be very much missed by those who knew her well.
