SLANZA Community Online
|
In term 2 2015, SLANZA launched our online community. The platform we are using is Google+, following on from the success of our online professional development. In order to join the community, you will require a Google account with Google+ enabled.
This community will be a place for personal SLANZA members to share resources and to join in discussions relating to the practical day-to-day running of a school library. We hope that members will share their knowledge and skills with each other and provide encouragement and help to those with questions. A team of community moderators will take an active part in the community, to create an atmosphere where members help one another, to strengthen our school library practice. We believe that this happens when members interact with one another, sharing information that informs, educates and encourages each other. We also believe that the community is weakened by posts which "dump" links to information outside the community without seeking to engage other community members in conversation, and when notes are posted primarily for the purpose of promoting a person's personal blog, website or business. |
