South Island Children's Librarians' Conference, 17-18 March, Christchurch, 2008

Keynote speaker is the multi-award winning Australian writer Margo Lanagan and also the noted British author Dennis Hamley will be at the conference. New Zealand speakers include publisher Julia Marshall of Gecko Press, illustrators Pamela Allen and Gavin Bishop, authors Brian Falkner, vince ford and David Hill.

The LIANZA Conference 2008 will held at the Skycity Convention Centre, Auckland on 2 - 5 November 2008. The theme is "Poropitia Outside the Box". This refers to the shifting nature of what we do and the world we work in. We have to ensure that we are developing and rowing with the communities we serve. The SLANZA 2007 conference Intersections: collaborative forces was held at Wellington High School from 2-4 July 2007. For more information see the conference papers link.

The SLANZA 2006 conference was held at the Trailways Motor Inn, Nelson from 13th - 14th July 2006.

ASLA XX Biennial Conference 2007 was held in Adelaide, Australia between the 2nd and the 5th of October. The conference theme was Hearts on Fire: Sharing the Passion.
